Arthur Richard Bultitude (1908-1990) begain his apprenticeship with W.E. Hill & Sons in 1922 at the age of 14 where he primarily studied with William Retford. Post WWII, Bultitude returned to work for Hill for another 16 years before establishing his own shop in Kent. Bultitude was honored with an MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire).
