Pulitzer Prize winning composer Robert Ward was commissioned to write Echoes of America, a trio for clarinet, cello and piano in celebration of his 80th birthday. On this recording, the trio accompanies several of Wards other chamber works composed between 1946 and 1997. Aurora Musicalis is comprised of Stephen Shipps, violin, Eric Larsen, piano, the Aspen Wind Quintet and the Amadeus Trio.
