Originally from near San Francisco, Lee began his craft in 1977 when he joined the renowned Bein & Fushi workshop in Chicago. By 1978, he had opened his own bow-making and restoration shop. Lee’s dedication to traditional craftsmanship has earned him widespread acclaim. In 1982, he was awarded a prestigious Gold Medal for workmanship at the Violin Society of America competition.
