New Directions for Strings is the result of collaboration between four different pedagogues, one from each of the stringed instruments, with a total of over 100 years of teaching experience. Together, they created a method with equal integration of all instruments, an incredibly useful feature for string orchestras and group instruction. The method is perfect for individuals as well, though, featuring illustrations accompanying instructions as well as two accompaniment CDs.
