French composer Camille Saint-Saens (1835-1921) was a prolific composer and pianist who composed a number of successful concertos. Immediately after composing his third Fantasie for organ, Saint-Saens wrote the Priere (Prayer), for cello and organ, and wrote a version for violin and organ the following year. This edition was edited by cellist Jeffrey Solow.
