A graduate of the Chicago Violinmaking School, Wallin has been awarded two VSA Silver Medals for tone in violin and viola, a VSA Silver Medal for violin workmanship and multiple tone and workmanship certificates for violin, viola, cello, and quartet. Marilyn has taught at the North Bennet Street School, University of New Hampshire, and workshops in Chicago and Oberlin.
